The Defibrillator

The Defibrillator

Utilising a Mosfet circuit in conjunction with an analogue octave up circuit, The Defibrillator can take your signal into a full sounding driven tone with plenty of dimension and character. The Mosfet boost paired with an octave up allows you to dial a variety of sounds and flavourings to equate to the sound you are trying to captivate.

Due to the parameters located on the surface of the pedal, the user can opt for the amount of 'drive' and 'octave' they desire within their signal. Useable in a variety of parameters; the Defibrillator can offer signal boost, cover mild break up and crunch all the way to driven and piercing tones with octave up harmonics accompanying you signal. The Defibrillator also adds another tool to your arsenal when placed before a fuzz/distortion unit, allowing these units to be transformed into a whole new sonic offering altogether.

  • Surface Controls

Octave: This control permits you to boost or attenuate the amount of 'octave up' featured in the pedals outputted signal. This feature permits the user to tailor this range to their needs. As this paramter is rotated clockwise more octave up signal is introduced adding more edge and dimension to your signal culminating in an 'aggresive' and 'spitty' sound.

Gain: This parameter determines the amount of 'gain' the Mosfet section is creating, inducing a determined level of gain on the signal. As this control is rotated clockwise, the Mosfets gain increases sending an 'larger' signal through the circuit subsequently increasing the 'drive displayed by the device. This feature is useable at either end of its variables offering different sonic feats throughought.
